Bleaching Cream With Hydroquinone

A skin bleaching cream can be used to solve, among other skin problems, age spots, uneven skin ton, melasma, sun damage, freckles, or acne marks.
A skin bleaching cream is not a product you should buy in a rush. Some bleaching creams contain ingredients that can be harmful for your skin, so choose the skin cream intelligently and with caution. The first thing to do before buying a skin bleaching cream is to check the ingredients it contains. This will allow you to discard the creams that contain chemicals that can be harmful or that are banned.
Some ingredients used in cosmetics are classified as drugs because they are used to treat specific medical conditions. As an example of this type of ingredients we can name hydroquinone, oxidizing agents, and steroids. Products containing these ingredients should be only used if a doctor recommends them. Try to use skin bleaching creams made with natural ingredients like kojic acid, licorice extract, lemon juice extract... Always choose a trusted and certified brand.
Be aware that some harmful skin bleaching creams are imported from countries like Africa and Asia. However, these countries do not have the same legal regulations that countries like the United States or Europe applied rigorously.

Mercury is one of the most dangerous ingredients found in these imported products. Even though its use is illegal and not allowed in the United States, some bleaching creams have mercury.
You can also find topical steroids in some imported bleaching creams. The use of topical steroids may be supervised by a doctor. Using them without medical supervision can cause serious side effects like infection, stretch marks, and the thinning of the treated skin.

Hydroquinone was in the past the basic ingredient for skin bleaching creams. They considered this ingredient safe and effective. Recent research suggests that the long term use of hydroquinone can cause serious side effects. A professional should always keep an eye when using hydroquinone.
Hydroquinone is very effective in reducing hyperpigmentation. It inhibits the production of melanin by holding down the tyrosinase enzyme. Up to six months are needed before seeing any significant improvement in the hyperpigmentation when using a hydroquinone treatment. Most dermatologists recommend 4% hydroquinone products, only available by prescription. Hidroquinone with up to 2% concentration is available over-the-counter. Possible side effects: irritation, allergy, and nail discoloration.
Hydroquinone has also been reported to cause ochronosis, a bluish black discoloration of tissue. It is not something that happens when using it for a short period of time or in low concentrations. In dark skinned people that use hydroquinone for long periods of time and in high concentration (5% or more), it can appear frequently.
There are studies using mice showing that high dosis of hydroquinone can cause cancer. It is not conclusive and more research is needed to evaluate the results.

Nowadays, manufacturers are producing natural alternatives that have the same properties as hydroquinone, but without the risks.
If you have a severe hyperpigmentation problem, it is better to visit a dermatologist before buying a skin bleaching cream. When the problem is severe, a dermatologist can tell you which treatment is right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
    skin bleaching cream without hydroquinone?
I really need to know. A bleaching cream sold at walgreens or walmart. I know that hydroquinone causes cancer. But if I get the one with 2%, is it still dangerous? I don't want to risk anything. I have a dark brown discoloration spot because of what happened when I was little. I'm not using it all over my face or skin. My discoloration spot is long about 2-3 inches. I want it to turn back to my original color because it stops me from wearing shorts..which I would love. If I go and get it at the store, does it need to be prescribed to me by a doctor? or can I be 18 and just buy it?

I really need some good answers.
    Thanks.

  2. QUESTION:
"Genuine Black and White" bleaching cream with hydroquinone?
I purchased Genuine Black and White Bleaching Cream with HYDROQUINONE! My face started breaking out. I couldn't figure out why, so I did the research on the ingredients of this product and discovered Hydroquinone is not safe!!Hydroquinone is banded in certain Countries! The direction read "add to affected area". What? I added it to my face, now I have what is on the warning "blue black darkening spots". I only applied the product twice within 2days. I hate this product and it should banned!
My question is "is there anymore products being sold (that you may know of) with chemicals (i.e hydroquinone) in cosmetic products that I should be aware of? Also is there any product that you may have came across that was actually safe and efficient?
this product also made me hot, as if I was having heat flashes, then headaches. I used it more than twice, because I didn't know it was the cause. Until I did the research and found other women had the same reactions!

There were totally 15 moles / black spots on my face and body before, I tried this mole remover and most of my moles were gone right now. But please pay attention, don’t over use in order to avoid getting scar. Hope it works for you too.

For more information, please see the following using methods, it is very useful for unwanted moles, beauty marks, black spots.

BRAND NEW DIY MOLE VANISH WART REMOVER
10 ML Skin Care non-Laser Removal

      Usage:
      (1) Clean the nevus and the area around it, use a toothpick (do not use a cotton stick to tip or wipe) to mix the liquid and sediment, and then tip a little amount of the mole remover and apply it onto the middle of the nevus. The area would turn to white colour after 1 minute. Use alcohol or water to clean the mole area after 10 minutes (If you tip the amount of mole remover properly, you don't have to clean). The mole would peel off (May help with finger) in 8 to 20 days. Repeat the process again until the mole peeling off if the colour of the nevus is dark. (it is suggested applying the liquid to nevus on hands or legs first to see the results and learn to control the usage before applying the liquid to other areas of the body, DON'T TRY on FACE for the first time!)

  3. QUESTION:
Has anyone used Genuine Black and White Bleaching Cream w/Hydroquinone?Did you have any success?
Let me know your experience with it?

    • ANSWER:
stay away from hydroquinone-based bleaching products.. these are already banned in europe and asia because of its carcinogenic (cancer-causing) properties.. there are safer and effective skin lighteners in the market, such as dermaline skin whitening cream or papaya kojic acid soap..

skin lightening, just like skin tanning, needs maintenance.. this is also true for hair dyeing, antiaging, or any skin or hair care regimen, to keep lasting results... but during the maintenance stage, you'll only be using the products minimally.

  4. QUESTION:
Know of a good bleaching cream? - Stronger than 2% Hydroquinone ?
    Hello!

I'm 19 and I no longer break out as before when I was younger, occasionally and unfortunately I do get some tough pimple here and there (mostly cystic). Although I have learned to leave pimples alone (I used to fail at avoiding the temptation of "getting rid" of them) I have some marks left.

It's been a long time since I've had marks, they aren't like deep scars, just some spots here and there, I am latina and I'm a light brown skin color so the spots are a bit "browner" than my actual skin.

As I'm getting "older" I find that my skin no longer gets rid of marks as fast as before, I have tried over the counter bleaching creams with 2% hydroquinone and they have helped but I need something a bit stronger. Do you know of another bleach cream with perhaps more hydroquinone in it?

Whether it's online or over the counter, just let me know please!
    & yes I've read about "side-effects" but I'm sure I'll be fine.

    Please help!
    Any recommendations?

    • ANSWER:
Here are some simple home remedies that you can do to lighten the skin tone and get a lighter complexion. However, they must be done regularly and best results are obtained if they are inculcated as a part of daily routine.

Mix 1 tsp of milk powder, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and ½ tsp of almond oil. Apply on face and wash off after 10-15 minutes. This pack helps bring shine to the skin and also removes tan.

Mix oatmeal with curd and tomato juice and apply on the face. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. It helps remove the tan and lightens the skin.

Place sliced raw potato on the face. It helps reduce blemishes and other marks.

Applying turmeric powder along with lime juice removes the tan. Lime juice is a natural bleach.

Dried orange peels mixed with curd also help reduce blemishes and scars. Wash off this mixture with cold water after 15 minutes.

Soak 4 almonds overnight. Grind into a fine paste using milk. Apply on face and neck and leave it overnight. Wash with cold water in the morning. Do this daily for 15 days, followed by twice a week.

A tbsp of gram flour mixed with 2 tsp of raw milk and 2-3 drops of lime juice works well for lightening dark skin. Apply this mixture and leave it for 15 minutes before washing off. Repeat for 4 weeks and follow up with once a week.

Apply a paste of fresh ground mint leaves and leave it for about 20 minutes. Wash with cold water, continue for 15 days.

Apply a mixture of grated tomato with 2-3 drops of lime juice on the face. Leave it for 20 minutes before washing off. Do this twice a day for 15-20 days for best results.

      Balanced Diet
Although there are no particular foods that will lighten your skin instantly, a balanced diet definitely helps by giving your skin a healthy glow. Drinking an optimum amount of water hydrates your skin and keeps it blemish free. Some recommendations regarding diet are as follows –

Avoid excessive consumption of heavy and oily foods.

Incorporate whole cereals, pulses, fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Drink at least 4-5 liters of water every day. Water washes out the toxins from the body.

      Other suggestions for Dark Skin

Use a good quality sunscreen when going out in the sun to protect the skin from tanning as well as the sun's UV rays.

Be regular and persistent with the home remedies for skin lightening as suggested above.

  7. QUESTION:
Any one know how to get rid off brown patches on the face without using harmfull chemical like hydroquinone?
I have these brown patches on my face for years. I used Obagi bleaching cream with 4% hydroquinone and gone through some laser treatments, but it didn't help, and the situation getting worse. the brown patches getting bigger and bigger. At first only some small patches on my cheek, now they're all over my face. I almost give up and decide to live with it, but I'm giving Yahoo Answer a try to see if anyone out there can help me get rid of it. Any thoughts and suggestion are welcome. Thank you for your help.

    • ANSWER:
Has your doc mentioned Retin A? I'm a white woman with olive skin and I get brown scarring. Retin A seems to help tremendously.
Are your brown blotches from sunlight? If so, staying out of the sun and always using a very nice UVA sunblock (I like Clarions) on your face during the day and Retin A at night should do the trick.
If you haven't been using docs, but have been using "skin technicians," leave the amateurs behind and go to the doc.
      Good luck!

  9. QUESTION:
what are some good ways to get rid of acne marks?
i tried some bleaching cream with hydroquinone called "black and white" but it didnt seem to work. ive been using cocoa butter too but im not sure how well that works either

    • ANSWER:
I've been having the same struggle with my acne marks, but have actually been making GOOD progress, so I'm thrilled to help, because I remember how frustrated I was for soooo long in trying to get rid of them.

I too looked into trying hydroquinone... luckily, I found out why it doesn't work just in time to keep me from wasting my money. Hydroquinone is a skin bleaching agent, so it works on skin spots caused by extra production of melanin (what gives your skin its color). Acne scars, however, have nothing to do with melanin, but everything to do with the skin not healing itself properly. So all the bleaching in the world will not help them.

You were on the right track with the cocoa butter, since it is supposed to help with stretch marks which, although their cause is different from acne marks, they are in the same category: the skin not healing itself properly. So if cocoa butter actually did work for stretch marks, it would work for acne marks too. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Cocoa butter for stretch marks is just an old wive's tale. What you really need is something that helps skin restructure itself properly.

There are a few things that do this. On the more expensive end is laser resurfacing. This has been proven to help both stretch marks and acne marks. Still expensive, but not as much, is professional microdermabrasion. Do not do dermabrasion, though - this goes into the deeper layers of skin, and is more risky, and usually causes more irritation and possible scabbing, which is exactly what you don't need. Microdermabrasion, however, while there will still be some post-irritation, will only make your skin somewhat reddened for a few days, after which you will see good improvements! If you don't have the money for professional treatments, you can try an in-home kit. There is only one that comes close to professional treatments, however. Most (like Neutrogena's or L'Oreal's) use the same crystals as the pros, but do not have any vacuum system. The reason the pros also use a vacuum is to suck up the crystals so they don't scrape your skin unnecessarily, and also because the suction action helps with deeper pock marks. Crystsalift Resurfacing System uses the crystals and the vacuum, and while the initial price is close to 0, it is cheaper than repeated treatments. Also, it has built-in safetys to prevent you from hurting yourself or using it incorrectly. You shouldn't use this more than once a week, at the risk of irritating your skin too much!

If this is still too expensive, you can use basic scrubs to help with resurfacing your skin, but remember that this is not as intense, and will therefore take longer. So don't get discouraged when you don't see immediate results. Just remember to use regular scrubs, not "in-home microdermabrasion kits" because these crystals (aluminum oxide crystals) are too harsh on your skin without the vacuum system to compensate. St. Ives is a great, VERY cheap option that is just as efficient as any other scrub. When it comes to these, a scrub is a scrub is a scrub... more expensive won't get you any better results. And don't scrub aggressively! The scrubbing particles are more than enough to get the job done.

An alternative to physical exfoliants like scrubs is a chemical exfoliant. The best are AHAs (they work on the surface, BHAs work in the pores), but not just any product saying it is has AHAs will work. The pH of the product needs to be between 3 and 4 for it to work. A good option for this is Neutrogena's Healthy Face Lotion, Night Formula, .59/2.5oz. You can use this in conjunction with other moisturizers, including the ones I list below - just put it on first and give it a few minutes to absorb. It contains 8% concentration of AHAs, which is good, because no matter what cosmetic companies say, anything over 10% is too harsh. You could, if your skin is not sensitive, also use it along with a physical scrub, but only use one method per day.

Finally, you have probably heard of lots stretch mark creams, but none of these have been proven effective, except one: Trilastin-SR. The reason this works is because it actually uses a powerful combination of retinol, collagen, and other skin-restructuring ingredients. Oddly enough, while these ingredients are so effective, they are difficult to find in a body cream. Trilastin is expensive (/6oz.), but compared to other body creams purported to work or to laser resurfacing, it is quite affordable. Because it works on stretch marks, it can also be effective on other scars, which would include acne marks. It doesn't promote this on the website, but they do confirm it in the FAQs that come with the product. This is a great product if you have both of these problems, as I do, and it has been great for me. Just remember that stretch marks are tougher to get rid of than acne scars (which is why laser resurfacing works for both, but microdermabrasion only works for ance marks), so you will see results on your acne scars before your stretch marks.

If you only have the acne scars to worry about, any good retinol face cream will help. Dr. Denese New York Hydro Seal Hand & Decollete Serum is one of the best ones out there, and at /3oz., is surprisingly affordable! At the drugstore, one of the best options is Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream, Original Formula, .99/4oz. Remember these should be used in conjunction with a scrub and/or AHA, or microdermabrasion, (definitely not all three, though!) to see the best results.

One other thing - if you are still struggling with acne and are using benzoyl peroxide, this is just fine. Just know that benzoyl peroxide and retinol cancel each other out, so use one in the morning and one at night. I would suggest using the retinol product at night, since sunlight tends to break it down and make it less effective. Also, if this is the situation, use a BHA instaed of AHA, since it not only gets the surface, but the pores as well. BHA is commonly known as salicylic acid. This too needs to be pH correct, and about the only good drugstore option for this is Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Treatment. I use this, and I LOVE the light scent and the soothing gel/liquid texture! Plus, it works!

Remember on top of all this, that since you're being pretty aggressive with your skin, you should use as gentle of a cleanser as possible! Good luck, and I hope you soon start to experience my joy as you begin to get your beautiful skin back!!

Any pigmentation cream for blemishes on cheek, used many type cream but fail. Use Nuskin for 7mths still bad?
6yrs ago went for Laser treatment, it was very effective 70% of the blemishes gone but got to bear with the ugly redness for 2 wks and quite costly too. 2 years ago went swimming in the hot sun without apply sunblock. Blemishes came back & was even darker than before. Used Dr Secret's Pdt but it got worst & turn sensitive. Went National Skin Centre, was prescribed Hydroquinone 4% cream (Eldoquin)-skin bleaching cream. Doctor said cream is very mild, blemishes will be lighter. But whenever I apply my face turned blackish red & itchy, this lasted more than 1 wk before it goes back to normal. Went back & Drs do not know why it causes redness & itch. No faith to go back NSC. Now using Nu Skin Whitening Range (for 7mths)& also tried Verde Whitening(10months& has not continue after I finished). The creams give me no problems nor do they help remove or whiten my blemishes. I feel cheated, both consultants assured me that the products is good & will whiten blemishes within 3-4mths

  19. QUESTION:
Has anyone used face bleach for eyes?
I have one bad dark circle underneath my right eye.
    Not TWO black dark circles.
I only have one dark circle that i believe is caused to hyperpigmentation from wearing badly fitted prescription glasses.

I have tried MAC concealer, bobbie brown, make up forever concealers, i have spent 0 on concealers for this circle but it has not worked.
I have tried eye wonder cream, hydrolyze, juvaderm, cliniques cream, and more, and i have spent 0 on creams.

this is in the span of 1 year and a half.
So i don't care for reccomendations on cucumbers, potato slices, teas, creams, or concealers because i have done everything i could.
Anyway, the last thing i was considering was bleach cream.

I've heard women use bleach cream containing hydroquinone that is meant for the face (ACNE SCARS, HYPERPIGMENTATION, ETC.)
Has anyone used products like black and white cream, any bleach cream?
would this be effective for this circle?
I know they sell 3 brands on walgreens with 2-3% hydroquinone and it is meant for the face but i have not read any one who has used it for dark circles.

Any inputs on if they have used these brands or any kind of hydroquinone for dark skin under eyes would be very helpful.

I only have on dark circle though, not two.
I don't want to see a dermatologist because i spent so much on allergy check ups and stupid creams that i have no money to spend....
And the dark circle extends my eye to the bottom of my nose almost to my right ear.
    as though i was diseased/hyperpigmentation.

    • ANSWER:
There is an epidemic of under eye bags and circles and many are reported by those in teens or early twenties. The main reason is reaction to skin sickening toxins in skin care, cosmetic and skin medicating products. Many teenage girls use 20 or more products daily and an alarming number of products contain skin(and health) harming toxins. See this site "Skin Deep Cosmetic Database. A Feelgood Resource" The Database tested many thousands of products and identifies which ones are the most harming and those which are non or only minimally harming. So first thing to do is select the none or least harming products.

I have just been rubbing my face with oil using my fingers and hands and It has made a HUGE difference in my complexion after just one night. …… My skin looks so much tighter everywhere and i no longer have bags under my eyes! Thank you so much for your post, I have been suffering with acne and under-eye circles since i was young.”

She had seen an answer I gave about how vigorous face massaging with pure natural oils had permanently rid my face of acne AND removed my bags/circles. Massage greatly tightens skin under and around the eye area and the bags go away. Find Answer with a search "Mukunda M vigorous massage to remove eye bags/circles"

      The most helpful ones are:
(Using both hands together) massage with palms and front of fingers held together
      (1) Do long up and down sweeps close to nose from chin area up to near eyes.
      (2) Do another up and back at an angle from chin point to cheek bone.
      (3) Do fast up and down massage close to eye from cheek bones at an angle of 45 degrees (on your crows feet).
Best if do for several minutes daily – will markedly tighten skin in eye area and diminish the circles in the first two or three days.
IMPORTANT: To avoid skin pulling first make facial skin taught by partially opening mouth and pulling lips firmly back against teeth (tightens most of face)

Use any natural oil. Extra virgin olive oil works well for many.
Additionally facial yoga exercises help a great deal. Find on You Tube. Do the “The lion face” and try to hold for 30 seconds. A variation of that is protruding the tongue as if trying to touch tip of nose with tip of tongue.

YOGA MEDITATION is a great help and is easy to do. It enables you to completely relax and gives you deep, restful sleep. 6 or 7 hours of restful sleep is considerably more beneficial than 8 or 9 more hours of non restful sleep. I found Siddha Yoga meditation was the most beneficial.

will nadinola extra strength fade cream make me lighter?
im 20 years old and ive had uneven skin tone for quite some time...i have acne scars too...and i think sun exposure played a big part in why my face is darker than my body...my body is like caramel or peanut butter and my face is dark brown....since nadinola has 3% hydroquinone, will that help lighten my face and scars? will i get better results if mix black & white bleaching cream with nadinola?

    * i know its not safe to do that but im an adult so please dont say dont this....im taking my own risk...

    • ANSWER:
Hydroquinone can have one of two effects on scarring it will either improve them or make them worse than ever y casuing more permanent scarring. I recommend a non hydroquinone cream which is used to fade freckles and age spots such as Fade Out plus sunscreen to stop you getting any darker. Don't go to extreme measures there is no easy way round this.

      Good luck x

  22. QUESTION:
Why has america not banned the use of Hydroquinone?
    I have been researching it
Recently I purchased a skin bleaching cream to reduce the tan lines I have from swimming

I have noticed amazing results , but after a weeks use my mother began to nag at me about the use of the product

Luckily i researched it and found that it has been linked to cancer !

On top of that, the entire european union has disproved of it and inhibit the use of hydroquione !
It was selling tremendously in asia , but for the good of the people , it was cut short because cases of cancer were sprouting

Now, I have used this product in the past ... for about 3 weeks

    I am extremely scared.

Do you think I'll be alright???

to be honest with you, I am scared shitless

    • ANSWER:
Although HQ is no longer available in the EU, the FDA has determined that hydroquinone is safe in certain percentages in skincare products. Some dermatologists recommend using HQ no longer than 3 months then taking "a break" from it and recontinue if desired after a break.

You are fine. Consider speaking witha pharmacist or physician if you're worried.

Please do not judge me. I don't need that. I am currently light-med brown and want to be light olive/pale. I've tried a benzyl arbutin cream from this site from over 3 months which only worked a tiny bit: http://www.herbalinn.com/bulk.htm

I just started using palmer's skin success eventone with 2% hydroquinone from a CVS pharmacy.

  24. QUESTION:
How long would it take for pigmentation in my skin to clear?
Im 15 years old, i have pigmentation left on my back from acne. I asked my dermatologist, he said it would take a long time to go away, but didnt tell me exactly how long. About how long will it take for that pigmentation to go away back to my normal skin color without using skin bleaching cream?

now, if i were to use skin bleaching cream, something such as hydroquinone which he plans on prescribing to me, how long do you think itd take for the pigmentation to go away then with using the skin bleaching cream?

    • ANSWER:
I have used the hydroquinone cream on my face for hyperpigmentation (Obagi brand) and it was amazing. I had spots i'd had for years go away in a month. i am now using it to fade a spot where i had a mole removed on my face and it is helping alot. I would say it will take much longer, if ever, for time to fade those spots vs the cream. Get the cream, no question.

i dont wear short shorts or anything.... its kinda embarassing.
pleaseeee dont say that i should learn to love it n blah blah. im a TEENAGER... Its jst.. irritating.. so im using hydroquinone 4% (skin bleaching cream) i just started yesterday ! so i was jst wondering if results will show in a month or so? :) coz im planning to go to the beach with my friends.. and i dnt want it to show that much.. i knw the cream only lightens it by few shades. im not expecting it to disappear lol. but once its few shades lighter its easier to hide it with makeup! :P
ANYWAYS.. so yeah.. the question is if results will show in a month or so :)

    thankksss

    • ANSWER:
Unfortunately, you won't begin to see the results you are hoping for for at least a month. I understand the frustration you are going through as 3/4 of my back has been badly scarred for the last 30 years, since the age of 16. I really do get it. Visit a dermatologist to get a prescription for the most penetrating, highest formulation of the hydroquinone. The over the counters don't compare. Remember, the medication will have to be a long term commitment because the discoloration will return when the treatment stops. In the meantime, I want you to visit dermablend.com for effective, reliable camouflage creams. They have a body cream that will be perfect for you. This stuff will even cover tattoos and port wine stains. When used with the setting powder, the coverage becomes waterproof. Hope this helps.

    Hey! Question On skin care?
I've recently changed my facial regimen. My progress is fairly well. I'm no longer dealing with acne but there are scars present from many years of experimentation and lack of knowledge.

Now I'm considering an acne scar treatment. Some one recommended bleaching creams. For acne specifically. I understand chemicals such as hydroquinone w/ retinoid cream or glycolic acid are highly favoured with women of colour. The difference in skin pigmentation is why.

    Any recommendations?

SKIN BLEACHING!!?!!??!!?!? HELP ( especially anyone who knows about active ingredients)?
Marque Deposee: Natural Bleach 3 Cream, 2 oz
It DOES NOT contain Hydroquinone which causes cancer

    theses are the active iingredients

Glycerine, Zinc Oxide, Ground Barley, Water, Oyster Shell Powder, Lemon Juice, Honey, With Hazel, Bentonite, Papain, Irish Moss Powder, Salicylic Acid, Fragrance.

    Any harmful ingredients??
I know about using homemade bleaching ( lemons, ect) ive tried but my freckles are too dark :(
Im fair skinned by the way. Please don't say "keep freckles" because im not going to, please help
also what should i do besides wear sun screen and staying out of the sun to keep up with maintaining the skin without freckles. What are the side effects if i do go out in the sun

    • ANSWER:
The ingredients look great... be careful with the salicylic tho, it will make you more photo sensitive. Just use it at night & of course SPF during the day.

Unfortunately being that they are freckles, they're just inevitable. Anything that's genetic is generally permanent unless you having something more drastic done like laser. Topical products will more than likely just have a temporary affect, once you stop using them they will come right back. The irregular pigmentation isn't superficial, it's from deep down in the dermal layers of the skin & that's just your natural melanin makeup.

Going out in the sun of course will make them darker & make you more susceptible to more pigment issues in the future. Your best way to maintain it just to continue what you're doing... staying out of the sun & wearing SPF. There's no way to bleach your skin from the inside out :o/ Sorry

  28. QUESTION:
    Damage from anal bleach?
I used something called Esoterica bleaching cream on my anal area (I know, idiot!) about two months ago. I only used it twice. At first it burned and itched terribly, and now it still itches and feels irritated, not as much, but still very annoying. I've heard this stuff contains some product called hydroquinone, that has bad side effects. Could I have done permanent damage? I know I should see a doctor, but while I'm still getting my courage up, I thought maybe someone had an idea, or even an experience with this stuff. Is it normal to still be irritated?

    • ANSWER:
Im a Qual Beauty Therapist Wabby hun, Is the area infected? Then see a Dr you may need antibiotics?

If its mild then I recommend getting a saline solution (water with a small amount of salt) and rinsing the area, and letting it dry naturally, no towel as it will rub more skin off.

I don't believe yo have done perminant damage.
The anal area is made of mucous glands and yes its normal for bleach to irritate this area, I don't recommend it. if its hair removal your after then waxing would be safe.

Why no resolution for Michael Jackson, why Pelosi said no?
He was acquitted... he isn't/wasn't a child molester...

Why you guys keep judging him even if he said he didn't do it?

I think Pelosi and that Pete King are racist... they just don't want to honor MJ because he was a Black man. He has vitigo... why people keep saying he bleached skin?

I have been using bleach cream for 1 year and it hasn't turn me white.

FDA wouldn't allow people to use more than 4% of hydroquinone... that stuff has side effect, plus it isn't suppose to be use on someone with dark skinned anyway... maybe for people with vitigo, skin disease.

Anyway... I thought you are innocent until proven guilty.
Not, you are a pervert until proven guilty.

You guys are treating him like a criminal already....

    He isn't/wasn't a criminal....

Why honor Elvis, he lived with a 13 years old girl Priscilla?
Why honor George Washington, he owned slaves?

  31. QUESTION:
Is there a pill that can make my skin lighter? (Bleaching)?
Okay, so for some time now my face has been the darkest part on my body along with my knees, elbows, stomach, and my bottom. I have discoloration on my arms where most of it is dark, but if I flip my arm over it's light. Basically I have a lot of discoloration. I went on some medication and my face got darker and I hate it so much! Creams don't seem to work for me because I had really bad acne and I had to go on Accutane to get them off. I'd tried anything and everything for my acne and not until I went on a pill did it clear up so I was thinking the same thing for my odd discoloration. Are there any pills that have proven to lighten skin? I don't mind if it takes a few months because I was on Accutane for six months so time is okay I just really want to be the same skin tone or at least close to it. Thanks!

Oh, yeah I almost forgot any cream with hydroquinone DOES NOT work for me no matter what percentage, so basically anything over-the-counter should not be mentioned. All that stuff has hydroquinone in it.

    • ANSWER:
Have you been in the sun alot lately?

UV rays from the sun darkens the pigments in your skin. If you stay out
of the sun then you eventually start to become lighter because your skin generated new
skin cells everyday which then the darkened skin cells falls off thus making you lighter.
Exfoliation helped get rid of the darkened skin cells

As for the pills you will need to ask a doctor for that.
      Hoped I helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  32. QUESTION:
Did the dermatologist I went to give me bad advice and prescriptions..?
OK So i went to the dermatologist because I have some hyperpigmentation spots left over from old zits, which are a lot darker than my normal skin tone is. I also have mild acne- nothing major, just some "closed comedone" pores the aesthetician extracted.

So to prevent breakouts AND treat the pigmentation, he prescribed me a .1% differin cream and a 4% hydroquinone cream for nighttime, along with a 1% clindamycin lotion for the morning. The weird thing is, he told me to mix a pea-size drop of the hydroquinone and the differin together every night and apply that mixture ALL OVER my face. And from what I've read online, hydroquinone should only be spot-applied to the dark spots, and NOT applied all over- or your entire skin will get bleached out. But that is exactly what he told me to do-- he even stressed the point that hydroquinone cream only works when you apply it all over, even where there are no dark spots! I only have a few spots; it's not like my entire face is covered in pigmented spots.

So now I'm confused- do I follow the derm's instructions and mix the differin and hydroqionone, or is that just a bunch of crap? Everything I've found on the subject says to wash your face, apply differin all over, then SPOT APPLY hydroquinone and follow with moisturizer. So... what should I do? I don't want my skin to get bleached out!!!

    • ANSWER:
Well i would call or see your doctor again to verify the instructions, and tell him about the research you have done and your concerns. I am sure he will be able to give you a explanation as to his reasoning. I would follow your doctor's instructions over what you read online.

  34. QUESTION:
Skin Lightening cream damaging my skin, HELP!?
I have just recently used the product called OBAGI-C Rx System Night Skin Lightening Cream and what it does "supposedly" is to "bleach hyperpigmented skin such as chloasma, melasma, freckles.." according to the box. It says after washing the face with the the Rx Cleansing Gel, you have to apply the night cream to the affected area.

I did not use the cleansing gel, but I just washed my face with my regular cleanser and applied it to my freckles with a toothpick. Is it necessary to use their given cleanser or no?? Oh another thing, I have applied the lightening cream for two nights and it actually seems to have made my skin worse. Areas around my freckles/ sunspots seems to be more darker as if my skin was burned or irritated. Has been about 4 days after I stopped using the cream, do you think the darkened blotches due to the cream will fade away?? My mom said it could be ruining my baby skin (I'm 20).

    CONTAINS HYDROQUINONE USP 4%

    Anal bleaching???
I'm wondering if it's just as effective to get a OTC bleaching cream with the hydroquinone ingredient. I Googled it and there seems to be a consensus that certain OTC's are very effective. But I'm still wondering if the results are immediate if I go to a salon and have it done, versus having to use a regular product for weeks and weeks. I want to see some speedy results, as I've got alot of people who see this area and it would like far better matching the rest of my skin. I'm very light for an African American and it's so much more aesthetically pleasing to me if I were the same color all over.

    • ANSWER:
stay away from hydroquinone-based skin lighteners because these can harm your skin (found to be carcinogenic) especially after long term use.. otc products are usually of commercial value and potency too.. try dermaline skin whitening cream which is a safe and potent formula for dark skin spots.. and you can do the regimen in the comfort of your home.

    • ANSWER:
I'm sorry to report but you can not do anything to permanently change your skin tone. Sooner or later your genetics WILL kick in.

Word of advice before you start any other skin whitenings- don't see this as something you "need" to do, see it as just a little touch up.

I am almost white as a ghost naturally, and everyone is always telling me to get a tan. Being whiter makes you look chubbier, makes cellulite more noticeable, and makes you look Gothic in any dark clothing. Being "fair" isn't all its cracked up to be. So just remember this, the grass is always greener on the other side.

If you really want to go through with this, I would try some home remedies to whiten the skin. Certain home made packs and remedies are really helpful in giving you a lighter and whiter complexion.

      1. Dry orange peels in sun. When they are fully dried, grind them in a mixture and make powder. Add raw milk to it, make a paste and apply it on your skin everyday. Rinse it off with lukewarm water when dries. It's tested pack for skin whitening.

      2. Take sandalwood powder, add lemon juice, tomato juice, cucumber juice to it, make a paste and apply on the skin till it dries to get a brighter, lighter and even skin tone.

      3. Gram flour has whitening agents to it. Take 2 spoonfuls of gram flour; add a pinch of turmeric to it, few drops of lemon juice and few drops of milk cream. Make it a paste and apply on the skin. When it dries scrub it off. It can be applied all over the body everyday.

      4. Soak almonds in water overnight. Peel them off in the morning. Make a paste and add honey to it. Apply it on face and scrub it off when dries to make skin whiter and glowing.

      5. Potatoes have bleaching agents in them their juice is quite helpful in giving an even skin tone. Reduce pigmentation and blemishes. It can be applied on the skin everyday to get it whiter.
